Here is the heart of OpenDiscussion.xyz, where any topic can be started and discussed. As you may of seen on our home page, there are some expectations when joining the site.
Here they are again:
- Everyone has a right to their views on any given subject, even if you don’t agree or think they are wrong. You can express your views on the matter in a civil manor without attacking anyone for their views.
- Your discussion can not contain hate speech, vulgar/inappropriate language, incite unlawful behaviour, slander any individual or group, violate the privacy of others, violence/cruelty towards any person/peoples/animals, and/or any other behaviour/content that would be socially unacceptable in a public place.
- Encourage community! Be helpful whenever you can, make whatever discussion you take part in inviting. The more that participate, the more interesting and engaging the topic becomes. Enrich yourself by enriching others.
It all really boils down to being a good person, don’t cause problems for the site or its users, and help build a site that everyone can become a part of and enjoy.
Why .XYZ?
“XYZ” Is basically an expression for saying either “and so on and so forth”. OR “Covering all the basics”. Which I think is pretty fitting for a website that is open for discussions on just about anything.
